What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis, when it is mentioned in conversation creates varied reactions in people. There are many misconceptions.
Hypnosis is a natural state humans cycle in-and-out of through-out the day. It is the 3 seconds before we fall asleep and before we wake up. It is a state of deep focused attention characterized by the brain waves entering the Delta wave frequency.
If you have ever caught yourself day-dreaming or losing track of time, you were in the hypnotic state.
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process between the hypnotherapist and client where the hypnotic state is used for the purpose of healing, improving performance, making a personal change, or overcoming a challenge.
A simple definition of hypnosis is that it is a state of increased suggestibility and concentration. The brain cannot tell the difference between what is actually seen by your eyes, and what your Hypnotherapist will help you create for your sub-conscious. This makes it easier to make changes and develop skills and abilities.

What Can I Expect During a Hypnotherapy Session?
Hypnotherapy is relaxing and enjoyable. It is a natural, drug-free and safe way to make changes. Most people emerge from their hypnotherapy session feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
Everyone experiences hypnosis differently; however it feels similar to meditation, day-dreaming or visualization.
It is important to remember that you are always in control while in hypnosis. You won’t do, or say, anything that you do not want to do. No one can make you do anything you don’t want to do in a hypnotherapy session. You are always in control of the session.
