Lab Testing - Naturopathic Services

At Sage, we use a variety of diagnostic tools to assess the health of our patients. Below are just a few:

• Saliva Hormone Testing: Used to assess the availability and balance of active hormones (estrogen, progesterone, cortical, DHEA, and testosterone) in the body.  Male and Female Panels are available.
  
  
• Estrogen Metabolism Ratio: Used to aid in assessing the risk of breast cancer.
  
  
• Urinary Thyroid Test: A more accurate alternative to blood testing for the assessment of thyroid function.
  
  
• Food Allergy/Sensitivity Testing: A finger prick test used to assess sensitivities to over 96 different foods.  Different food panels are available depending on individual patient needs.
  
  
• Adrenal Function Panel: Used to assess cortisol levels throughout the day and the body’s ability to cope with stress.
  
  
• Bowel tests including leaky gut and parasite testing: Used to assess the health of the gastrointestinal tract and identify any parasites that may be present.
  
  
• Neurotransmitter Testing: Particularly useful in assessing and treating depression, anxiety and other mental health concerns.
  
  
• Hair Analysis: Assesses any on-going exposure to toxic minerals like lead and mercury in the body.
  
  
• Urine Toxic Elements: Assesses the levels of toxic elements or “body burden” of metals like lead and mercury in the body.
  
  
• Blood-work: Conventional blood-work like cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid and iron.
  
  
• Urine Analysis: Used to assess how well the body is digesting food, assess stress levels as well as vitamin C and calcium levels.
