At Sage Naturopathic Clinic, we have always tried to pay it forward. We love our community of patients, colleagues, clients, friends and family and we always try to take some time to count our blessings and feel some gratitude for all that we have.
This year, as part of our Holiday Food Drive, we are supporting a local charity called Wraparound. It is a community of people that supports youth leaving foster care. Often, these teens are trying to get settled in the world, with little money and family to call their own. As part of the initiative, Wraparound makes hampers for youth that are leaving foster care. The hampers contain non-perishable foods and personal hygiene items to help these young people as they make their way in this world.
This speaks to me. I grew up in a loving home. We didn’t have much but we knew where we belonged and we never went to bed hungry. I have children of my own that are privileged. They participate in activities, enjoy many luxuries and will never know what it means to go without. I feel for the children that go through the Foster Care Program and then leave Foster Care to fend for themselves. To support this organization is my way of giving back and counting my blessings.
So for the next 2 months we will be accepting donation items at Sage. We hope that all patients, clients and customers will participate by bringing in the following items:
- Non –perishable food items
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Socks
- Deodorant
- Shampoo and Conditioner
- Body Wash
- Soap
- Face Cloths
- Hairbrushes or Combs
- Grocery Gift Cards
When you bring in any of the above items, we will offer a 10% discount on any supplements you need to buy on that day.
Our community at Sage is fantastic. We know that you will support us in this worthy cause.
